About Paul Simon

Paul Simon (born October 13, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American singer-songwriter whose style blends folk rock, pop and world music. Famous songs include “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Graceland,” “The Boxer,” and “You Can Call Me Al.” His latest solo studio album, Seven Psalms, was released in May 2023. He’s won 16 Grammys—including three Album of the Year awards—earned a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, and has been inducted twice into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He’s known for inventive lyricism, global musical fusion, and his collaboration with Simon & Garfunkel.
